Beyond the Search Bar: AI-Assisted Market Research, Strategy and Storytelling

Good marketers understand market research is the foundation of strategic planning. However, finding reliable data, analyzing it, and turning it into actionable intel can be difficult and time-consuming. Attend this session to learn how to gather the right data and what to do once you have it. You’ll learn practical ways to use AI tools to discover and summarize industry trends, competitor insights, and client data. Then use AI to analyze, visualize, and communicate your findings. Whether you’re building a pursuit strategy, writing thought leadership, or guiding firm decisions, you’ll walk away with new methods to make market research faster and smarter. Courtney Kearney, CPSM and Sarah Kinard will lead this interactive program sharing their industry thought leader show please come prepared to share your camera and be engaged. As owner of CKearney Consulting, Courtney Kearney, CPSM leads a team of approachable data nerds dedicated to helping AEC firms get the most out of their CRM and data. Her firm provides services ranging from evaluation and implementation to on-call support, training, and system integration—always with a focus on making data more accessible and actionable.

Known for her passion for data, Courtney is a respected thought leader, author, and public speaker. She has served in leadership roles within SMPS at the local, regional, and national levels, including chapter president and co-chair of the Southern Regional Conference.

As the Head Bird of The Flamingo Project, Sarah Kinard leads a consultancy helping AEC firms grow with clarity and confidence through research-driven business planning and strategy. Known for simplifying the complex, she works with firm leaders to turn big ideas into clear direction and sustainable growth.

A nationally recognized strategist and speaker, Sarah brings 20+ years of experience across marketing, business development, and executive planning. She currently serves as the President of the SMPS Foundation and was inducted into the SMPS North Texas Hall of Fame. Sarah is also a proud graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program (Dallas).

Policies

Substitution Policy
Any substitution to a Member exclusive event will be charged a $100 fee.

Walk-in Policy
To ensure we can comfortably accommodate all attendees, anyone who registers after the deadline will be charged an additional $10 walk-in fee.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
Cancellations made 48-hours/2 days prior to the event will be fully refunded. Due to our commitment with the meeting facility for food and beverage quantities, all other cancellations or no-shows will be invoiced for the full cost of the event. In the event the registrant is unable to attend, another individual from their firm can attend and the attendee will be expected to pay-at-the-door any applicable cost difference (ie: member vs non-member).
